Sharing of social determinants and consequences of TB in Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
On 20th July 2021, Dr Tom Wingfield from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Kritika Dixit from BNMT presented (virtually) on the social determinants & consequences of TB at one of the departmental educational meetings of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Tom gave insights on the TB scenario, catastrophic impacts of TB and shared about the work in Peru. Similarly, Ms Kritika shared the findings of our work in Nepal regarding the perceived barriers and facilitators, socio-economic impacts and the integrated socio-economic support packages for people with TB in Nepal. The presentation was followed by a short Q n A on the presented topics.
