National Tuberculosis Program

BNMT Nepal is implementing ‘National Tuberculosis Program’ from January 2017. The project is funded by Global Fund and the primary recipient of the project is Save the Children International. BNMT Nepal is working as a sub recipient in order to support the main goal i.e. to decrease the incidence of TB by 10% by 2020 based on re-assessment of TB burden figures conducted in 2015.

Project Coverage: 20 Districts

  • Eastern Development Region: Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Saptari, Sunsari, Siraha and Udayapur districts
  • Mid and Far Western Development Region: Achham, Baitadi, Banke, Bardiya, Dadeldhura, Dang, Doti, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Pyuthen, Rolpa, Salyan and Surkhet districts

Total population Coverage: 90, 96, 142

Donor: Global Fund/Save the Children International

Target Group and Beneficiaries: Socio-economically vulnerable people, women, children, elderly, marginalized
