100th Day of EQ in BNMT Nepal Website
The massive earthquake on 25th April 2015 and its aftershocks led to 8,898 deaths and leaving more than 22,000 injured with irreparable damage to settlements and historical monuments. Since the tragic event BNMT immediately provided support to individuals, families and communities of affected districts through Response, Relief, Recovery and Reconstruction in coordination with Nepal Government, External Development Partners and Civil Society.
Marking the 100th day of an earthquake, today BNMT staff drilled – DROP, COVER AND HOLD to minimise injury and death during an earthquake.
