Intersectional Psychosocial Impact of Epilepsy: A Gender Lens Approach

Overview

Intersectional Psychosocial Impact of Epilepsy: A Gender Lens Approach (ACE) is a Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded early career research grant received by our colleague, Research Associate Swastika Shrestha that aimed to explore the quality of life of individuals living with epilepsy and understand how gender influenced their experiences. This research will help us to work with stakeholders to improve community understanding of epilepsy, reduce stigma and design improved holistic patient centered care approaches.
