Krishna Das
Krishna Das is a public health professional currently serving as Project Officer at BNMT Nepal, based in Nepalgunj Provincial Office, Banke. He is responsible for coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting for the TB SHIELD project, ensuring evidence-based implementation aligned with national and international TB strategies. Krishna has over six years of experience in program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and community-based interventions, especially in tuberculosis prevention and care.
Previously, as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Global Fund and UNDP-funded National Tuberculosis Program at the provincial level, Krishna led program monitoring, supervision, data quality assurance, and reporting to ensure quality TB service delivery following National TB Program policies and International Standards of TB Care. His earlier roles with BNMT Nepal as Field Supervisor and Outreach Worker involved TB case finding, FAST strategy implementation, contact tracing, sputum transportation, and community-based screening among vulnerable populations.
Earlier, Krishna has coordinated multi-district public health projects with SAHARA Nepal, supported epidemiological and health systems research with the Nepal Health Research Council, and provided frontline services during the COVID-19 response. He holds a Bachelor of Public Health and PCL in General Medicine.
Nationally recognized, Krishna was selected as one of Nepal’s Top 24 Youth2EndTB Advocates and currently serves as a U.S. Embassy Youth Council Member (2025–2026). He also leads as President of the Koshi AMR Network and Founding Secretary of the Lions Club of Biratnagar Youth.
