Attended Self Caring Session Organised By Awon
BNMT Psychosocial Support team attended a session on Self Caring on 30th of July, 2015. The session was organised by Action Works Nepal (AWON). The main aim of the session was to help the development workers to enhance their self-caring skills to live life in a healthy way and happily. A total 15 participants from different other organisations working in Mental Health arena including BNMT attended the Session.
Ms. Karen B. Chamberlain, a physical therapist from USA led the session and taught many different physical exercises in caring for self in order to care for others. Ms. Karen who has 30 years of experience on helping people with therapy is now working as a volunteer at AWON to support the earthquake response program in Nepal.
