Health Facility Handover Program in Phakhel, Makwanpur
On 29th December 2016, the newly constructed Prefab Type-1 Health Post in Phakhel VDC based on government’s standards and guidelines was handed to the Government of Nepal. Handover Program was celebrated in the VDC where the Health Post was formally inaugurated by Chief Public Health Administrator, Mr. Ramesh Adhikari in the presence of distinguished guests and representatives from Ministry of Health (MoH); District Public Health Office (DPHO), Makwanpur; Health Facilities Operation and Management Committee (HFOMC); Americares; BNMT Nepal; and the community people. Mr. Adhikari highly appreciated the community for their contribution to build the health post. He expressed his expectation on quality service assurance from the health post, community people and government line agencies.
The Health Post was built in close coordination with MoH, Government of Nepal and the project is funded by Americares. Along with the physical infrastructure of the Health Post, essential medical equipment was also supported by BNMT Nepal. Approximately, 5000 people will be directly benefitted from the Health Post.
