IMPACT 2 TB: Signing of MOU with the Ministry of Health and Population
After the successful completion of IMPACT TB phase I, BNMT Nepal is implementing the second phase, IMPACT 2 TB, ‘Implementation Modeling and Validation to Accelerate TB elimination in Nepal’ funded by Nick Simons Foundation from January 2020. The project aims to refine, optimise and demonstrate the value of mathematical TB models to inform policy for intervention scale up at local and national level. On 26 December 2019, BNMT Nepal signed the MoU with the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) for the same.
The project will be implemented in Mahottari, Bardiya, Pyuthan and Chitwan district from January 2020 to December 2022. It is currently under the pre-implementation phase, arranging logistics and undergoing the recruitment process.
