Promotion of MHM targeting the adolescent girls at Sindhupalchowk
Under the project, Enhancing Community Health in Nepal, orientation programs on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) were conducted in Sindhupalchowk district. The events targeted both male and female students of grades 8, 9 and 10. The students were shown a video on MHM that reflected on menstrual hygiene, changes in adolescents, and uses & management of sanitary pads. The main objective of the orientation programs was to improve the knowledge and behaviour of students in Menstrual Hygiene Management.
The programs benefitted 248 students (including 141 female and 107 male).
