Psychosocial Counselling and Support Program in Chobhar
On 7th July, 2015 a team of counsellor from BNMT was in Chobhar-15, Kirtipur. During the visit we met with Ms. RatnaKumariBasnet, Health Post Incharge of Chobar Health Post office and briefed about the purpose of visit. In the meanwhile we also conducted Psychosocial counseling sessions to 20 individuals including Female Community Health Volunteer (FCHV) from ward no. 13,14,15 and HP staff and 2 staffs from Army Hospital. In this first counseling session, the participants shared their feelings and experiences of the earthquake and what they have been doing since the tragic event. Since many of the participants were community frontline workers they have showed positive response towards our program. BNMT will conduct the consecutive follow up sessions.
