Advocacy Training to Civil Society Organizations Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights of Adolescents of Earthquake affected villages of Sindhupalchowk, Nepal
Under the project AmplifyChange, BNMT Nepal organized 3 days advocacy training to Civil Society Organizations on 26-28 February, 2020 at Dhulikhel Village Resort, Dhulikhel. The training was attended by representatives of downstream delivery partners viz. Shree Sindhu Punarjagaran Sangh, Indrawati Community Service Center and Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum, community mobilizers, ward representatives, health coordinator, teachers and health personnel from health office, Chautara. The training focused on the concept of advocacy, its objectives, outcomes, strategies and tools, process of social behavior change, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) issues and development of advocacy action plans.
A total of 21 participants participated in the event. The training was facilitated by Mr. Ghanshyam Pokharel, who has more than 20 years of working experience on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in the Ministry of Health and Population(MOHP) and Bidhya D.C, trainer from Family welfare division, MOHP.
The training was successful to bring all the relevant stakeholders in the district in a platform to learn, share and initiate the process of advocacy of SRHR in the district.
