AmplifyChange project dissemination
The dissemination of lessons learned program of the AmplifyChange funded project ‘Advancing SRHR of adolescents of earthquake affected villages of Sindhupalchowk district, Nepal : A pilot project’ was conducted on 27th August 2021 with active presence of government and non-government stakeholders, female community volunteers, downstream delivery partners, local civil society organizations working in the district, project team and relevant members of BNMT. In the program, presentations mainly focused on the achievements, challenges and learning of the project along with the findings of the qualitative research on the impact of COVID19 on access and use of SRHR services among adolescents in Sindhupalchowk district; shared by the project team members, Saki Thapa, Project Manager and Bikram Bucha, District Program Coordinator.
The project was well appreciated by the stakeholders. The Chairperson of program, Bansalal Tamang, (Chair, Indrawati Rural Municipality) & Chief guest, Durgadatta Chapagain (Chief, Health Office & Senior Public Health Officer) shared about the experiences gained from the project. They appreciated the project modality and mentioned that project beneficiaries would be playing vital roles as change agents in sustainability of the SRHR movement created in the community through this project.
As one of the highlights, Mr Ishwari Prasad Adhikari, Vice-chair of one of the downstream delivery partners of the project, Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum sung an emotional song on SRHR issues prevalent in the rural communities.
