Art Counselling and Assertiveness Education at Education and Development for the Underprivileged Children (EDUC), Basundhar
On 21st December, 2015 psychosocial team visited Education and Development for the Underprivileged Children (EDUC), Basundhar for follow up Art Counseling. Total 14 children were present and were very excited to involve in the session.
The art counseling was conducted in two phase. First students were asked to draw their beautiful and painful moment in life where they portrayed the memories through drawing. In second phase students again expressed their aim in life. Through their drawings we found that they were still afraid of earthquake and violence. With knowing the fact that there were high chances of substance and child abuse in their community, they were taught about different education on abuse (substance, child) with assertiveness education.
With this effort children exhibited less fear and able to boost up their self-confident.
