Capacity Enhancement Orientations to members of Health Facility Operation and Management Committees (HFOMC)
Under the project, Health Facilities Reconstruction and Health Service Strengthening in Makwanpur district, Nepal, orientation programs on Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) were conducted to members of HFOMC in Khairang and Nibuwatar VDCs following the standard guidelines of National Health Training Centre (NHTC). The orientations incorporated sessions on safe water and total sanitation, water borne diseases and their preventive measures; hand washing practices; techniques of water purification; promotion of healthy behaviour; household and health care waste management; environmental sanitation and community awareness for proper use of toilet.
