Commemoration of World TB Day 2020

On March 24, 2020 BNMT Nepal commemorated World TB Day 2020 in central and district level conducting activities in coordination with government and through social media engagement. For promoting TB awareness BNMT distributed IMPACT TB project T-shirts having the slogan, “TB free Pyuthan” with a drone print.

In the light of COVID’19 and following the guideline from Nepal government which is to promote social distancing, BNMT Nepal cancelled all the social engagement events and utilized social media to express our solidarity in fight against TB and COVID19 and extend gratitude to healthcare workers around the world tackling these pandemics. At the central level, the team came together and clicked pictures with TB messages based on this year’s theme, “It’s time”. These messages were widely disseminated through the social media, twitter and Facebook. At the district level, BNMT Nepal posted various banners with TB awareness messages in public places like Mahadev temple, Jaleshwor hospital, and Health Office Mahottari.
