Participation in the Virtual 52nd Union World Conference on Lung Health
BNMT Nepal was delighted to participate in the virtual 52nd Union World Conference on Lung Health organized by The Union from 19th to 22nd October 2021. On behalf of the organization, our Research Manager, Kritika Dixit presented on ‘Barriers and facilitators to accessing and delivering tuberculosis services in the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal’ (Abstract Reference: AS-WCLH-2021-00742). The presentation focused on the preliminary findings of the TB READY project which showed that the pandemic exacerbated psychosocial and economic barriers to access TB treatment. TB READY project studies about the impact of COVID19 on TB care in Nepal, it is funded by Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and Farrar Foundation.
