Construction of Community Toilets
Responding to WASH situation in post disaster setting, BNMT is taking the initiative to construct community based gender friendly toilet in earthquake affected areas. Further progress has been made in construction of community based gender friendly toilet in Bhaktapur, one of the hard hit earthquake affected areas. BNMT now has formally signed agreement with Bhaktapur Municipality, Yosinkhel Toilet Users committee and Maheshwari Toilet Users committee to construct the community toilets in Yosinkhel and Maheshwari Playground.
A total of 245 families of Yosinkhel and 182 families of Maheshwari area will be directly benefited by the community toilets. The construction is likely to complete by mid July 2015.
