Dialogue with adolescents, their parents and teachers on Sexual and Rights Health Rights and Comprehensive Sexuality Education to address communication gap, existing gender norms and parent child relationship
On 12th, 13th and 14th of January, 2020, three dialogues on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Comprehensive Sexuality and Education (CSE), were conducted with adolescents, their parents and teachers of three schools of Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk district under the AmplifyChange project. The main aim of the events were to address communication gaps & existing gender norms and foster parent child relationship between students, their parents and teachers of the three schools. The dialogues were organized by the downstream delivery partners, Shree Sindhu Punarjagaran Sangh, Indrawati Community Service Center and Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum and facilitated by district program coordinator of BNMT Nepal. The programs were successful to create an environment for open discussion on SRHR issues and CSE, increase the confidence of the parents for communication on SRHR issues and improve their relationships.
The names of three schools are Shree Rajeshwori Ma.Vi, Shree Sipateen Ghare Ma.Vi and Shree Singhamati Ma.Vi.
