Dissemination of IMPACT TB project
From 4 – 9th December, 2019 BNMT Nepal organized dissemination of lessons learned programs in each project district of IMPACT TB with the objective of sharing the experiences gained from the project. The programs were conducted with active presence of representatives of Provincial Health Division, Provincial TB/Leprosy Officers, District Public Health Officers, District TB/ Leprosy Officers, Chief of district health offices, laboratory professionals, the Principal Investigator of the project, Deputy Director of BNMT and the project staff. In the program, the project key findings, challenges, learning, priority actions and implementation considerations along with budgetary expenses were shared among the participants. This was followed by remarks from the government stakeholders. The concerned stakeholders highly appreciated BNMT Nepal for installing GeneXpert machines in the project districts and achieving the outcome of 1201 new TB cases. They also appreciated the working modality and transparency of BNMT Nepal and recommended the organization to work with them again in future.
With the learning obtained from the successful completion of IMPACT TB, we are launching the second phase of the project called IMPACT 2 TB from January 2020.
