Dissemination of TB REACH Wave 5: Scale up of Active Case Finding Model in Nepal Project
On 28th December, 2018 BNMT Nepal organized a one-day dissemination of lessons learned program with the objective of sharing the experiences gained from the project,‘Scale up of Active Case Finding Model in Nepal’. The program was conducted with active presence of PME Chief of National Tuberculosis Center, Chief of Provincial Health Division, Provincial TB/Leprosy Officers, District Public Health Officers, District TB/ Leprosy Officers, Senior Program Manager of NSI, Chief of district health office, Kapilvastu, Medical Superintendent of Bardiya District Hospital, laboratory professionals, Executive Director of BNMT, the project staff and relevant central office team. In the program, the project achievements, outcomes, challenges, learning and recommendations along with budgetary expenses were shared among the participants. This was followed by remarks from the government stakeholders. The concerned stakeholders highly appreciated BNMT Nepal for installing GeneXpert machines in the NSI supported district hospitals and achieving the outcome of 1092 new TB cases. They also appreciated the working modality and transparency of BNMT Nepal and recommended the organization to work with them again in future. A total of 74 participants attended the program.
