Free Health Camp and Microscopic Camp in Kalighat, Bhaktapur
On November 19, 2016 a free health camp including Tuberculosis Microscopic Camp was organized by BNMT Nepal at Basu Higher Secondary School premises in Bhaktapur District. This camp was conducted as one of the activities of BLF project.
In the camp, two of the four rooms were operated for diagnostics (General check-up; Orthopaedics; Paediatrics; and Gynaecology), one room was allocated for Tuberculosis Microscopic Camp and one was given for distribution of free essential medicines, provided by BNMT.
Total 130 people of all ages, with 95 women and 35 men, were directly benefitted from the camp.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Shirish Karki, Dr. Nikhal Giri, Dr. Bindira Maharjan, Dr. Kulesh Thapa; Nurses Shruti Shrestha, Bindiya Shrestha; pharmacist Rachana Shrestha; Public Health Inspector Mr. Umesh Chandra Dhaubhadel; District Tuberculosis and Leprosy Officer Tara Sharma and several volunteers from school scout for their active participation and support in successful conduction of this camp.
