Free Health Camp including TB microscopic Camp in Balkumari, Nuwakot
On April 1, 2017 a free health camp was organized in Mahadev Secondary School in Balkumari VDC of Nuwakot District under the project, Enhancing Community Health in Nepal.
In the camp, threeclassrooms were utilized for diagnostic check-ups(General check-up; Orthopaedics; Obstetrics/Gynaecology) and one for distribution of free essential medicines, provided by BNMT Nepal.
Total 241 people of all ages, with 136 womenand 105 men directly benefitted from the camp. Similarly, Tuberculosis Microscopic Screening was done with support of DTLO of Nuwakot, Mr. Thakur Paudel and Lab Technicians Mr.Kumar Shrestha, Narayan G. Rai and BishnuBhandari. Sputum samples of 41 presumptive TB cases (16Female and 25Male) were collected but zero cases were found to be positive.
