Inception meetings in IMPACT TB Project Districts, Makwanpur and Chitwan
From 27th – 28th June, 2017,inception meetings were held in IMPACT TB intervention districts, Makwanpur and Chitwan with the objectives ofsharing the details of the project with concerned stakeholders.
On 27th June, 2017, inception meetings were conducted in District Public Health Office (DPHO) and Central Regional Health Directorate (CRHD) office, Hetauda. The meetings were successfully conducted with the active presence of distinguished government officials such asDr. Basu Dev Pandey, RHD,Mr. Ram Chandra Pathak, DPHO, Makwanpur, Mr. Uttam Khanal, RTLO, Mr. Raj Kumar Itiniand Santa Kumar Mahato, Lab Technicians and Mr. Ajay Kumar Shah, DOTS focal person.
On 28th June 2017, inception meeting was conducted in DPHO Chitwan, with the participation of Mr. Vijay Kumar Jha, DPHO, Chitwan, Mr. Jaya Ram Dawadi, DTLO, Mr. Bhim Nath Ghimire, Lab Technician. On the same day a meeting was conducted with Chitwan Medical College Director, Daya Ram Lamsal.
From BNMT Nepal Mr. Suman Chandra Gurung, Executive Director, Dr. Maxine Caws, Principal Investigator, Mr. Raghu Dhital, Program Manager, and Mr. Bhola Rai, Research Associate participated in the meetings.
In the two days visit, the team also observed district lab and DOTS center and interacted with the female community health volunteers.
