New grant: TB READY
BNMT Nepal is implementing a new research grant funded by Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) under the UK small grants programme award, titled ‘Study on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on TB service delivery in Nepal’: TB READY. The grant was funded as early career researcher grants to our Research Manager Kritika Dixit. It was introduced among with key TB stakeholders in the IMPACT TB project Kick off Meeting held in February 2021. The initial grant period has been one year, however, with the funding support of the Farrar Foundation the project is now extended for three years. The study will be conducted in Chitwan, Mahottari, Pyuthan, Bardiya, Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Jhapa and Illam districts of Nepal. The project began from January 2021 and will end in December 2023.
