Orientation on Tuberculosis Control Program
BNMT Nepal organized a three-day Orientation on Tuberculosis Control Program from February 6, 2017 to February 8, 2017 at Hotel Tibet, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The program was conducted with the objective of improving the understanding of the current and new project staffs on Tuberculosis for the commencement of National Tuberculosis Program funded by Save the Children under the Global Fund.
The main features of the program were Global as well as National TB situation and Challenges; National Strategy Plan – TB and National Prevalence Survey; DR Management under NTP; Data Information/Data Bank (Data collection and Presentation); Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Process and; Recording and Reporting System of HMIS for TB Programme including E – TB Software.
Experts from various organizations facilitated the program such as Mr. Anil Thapa, Chief of PME and Data Section, NTC; Mr. Keshav Adhikari, Associate Professor, Tribhuvan University; Dr. Pramod Raj Bhattarai, DR-TB Medical Officer, NTC; Mr. Binod Paudel, Statistics officer, HMIS Section, DoHS; Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Computer Officer, NTC and; Mr. Nawal Shrestha, IT and Database Officer for NTC under Save the Children.
The total of 35 BNMT Nepal staffs participated and benefitted from the orientation.
