CHANGE TB: Intersectional approaches to empower communities to explore, challenge and transform TB-related stigma

Overview

The CHANGE TB project is being implemented across six high TB burden districts across 3 provinces of Nepal: Banke, Bardiya, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Morang, and Sunsari in Nepal. These districts are home to a high concentration of key vulnerable and historically marginalized populations, many facing elevated levels of poverty.

Through a range of activities, including CRG & Stigma Assessments, advocacy and awareness campaigns, capacity building, strengthening a network of TB champions, and establishing TB clubs, the project is actively working to reduce stigma, build community capacity, and foster collaboration and empowerment.

Initially funded for a 12-month period from December 2023, BNMT is proud to announce that we have been invited by the STOP TB Partnership for a six-month extension with additional funding. This extension will allow us to expand the project’s scope and increase its impact, continuing until May 2025.

PROJECT PERIOD: December 2023 – May 2025
