The Trauma Hub Project in Nepal aims to strengthen trauma care services along the country’s major highway corridors and key transport routes by establishing fully functional Trauma Hubs. The project is being implemented in close collaboration and cooperation with the concerned Federal, Provincial, and Local governments.
The primary objective is to reduce mortality and disability resulting from road traffic accidents and other traumatic injuries. This will be achieved by establishing and strengthening strategically located Trauma Hubs along major highways, ensuring timely, high-quality, and well-coordinated emergency trauma care services.
The project is expected to significantly improve survival outcomes for men, women, and children affected by trauma through rapid medical intervention and efficient referral systems.
