Promotion of MHM targeting the adolescent girls at Makwanpur, Nuwakot, Bhaktapur
Under the project, Enhancing Community Health in Nepal, orientation programs on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) was conducted in Makwanpur, Nuwakot and Bhaktapur districts.The events targeted both male and female students of grades 8, 9 and 10. The students were shown a video on MHM that reflected on menstrual hygiene, changes in adolescents, and uses & management of sanitary pads. The objective of the orientation programs was to improve the knowledge and behaviour of students in Menstrual Hygiene Management.
The programs benefitted 480 students (including 240 male and 240 female) and 30 teachers.
