Psychosocial Counselling and Support Training
BNMT PSS Team provided Psychosocial Counselling and Support Training (PSS) to 18 Volunteers of Nobel Compassionate Volunteer (NCV) for 2 days from 8th November to 9th November 2015 at the Premises of NCV, Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
The sessions were based on active participation. Participants were trained on the topics like Non Violent communication (NVC), grief and loss processing, PFA, communication skills, grounding, Mental Health referral, self-care with different activities including games.
During the training sessions, Volunteers were found very enthusiastic to learn as the term PSS was new for them. They were, happy and thanked BNMT team for providing this training which will be more helpful for them to utilise those skills while working on their field. Dr Johnny Payne, Board of Trustee BNMT UK and Dr Kulesh Thapa, Country Representative visited the training venue to observe the training and provided feedbacks for it.
