Psychosocial Counselling in Bhaktapur
On 12th May, a team from BNMT conducted a counselling session for a group more than 20 which included women, young girls and men in Bhaktapur Municipality within the District Public Health Office to mentally support those who have been traumatized by massive earthquake that hit Nepal.
In the meanwhile, yet another 7.3 Richter earthquake hit Nepal with epicenter 47 miles East of Kathmandu exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. After the initial panic, our staff stayed on to provide support to the group many of whom had severe panic attacks. We will continue to provide this support in severely affected communities in the days to come.
