Psychosocial support to the families affected by earthquake in Makawanpur
A joint team from BNMT and the Nepalese Nurses Association UK were in Daman ward no. 4 and 5 Thaha Municipality of Makwanpur district provided psychosocial counselling support to women and children affected by the earthquake on 6th May 2015.
Women and children shared out their experiences, fears and problems which they are facing after massive earthquake hit their lives. Individual counselling, group counselling and discussion sessions were conducted by the team to address the psychosocial problem presented by the affected people. The serious cases were noted and will be sent for special care.
BNMT continues its effort to address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is common in situation like this.
