Radio broadcasting on local FMs through CSOs

Under the AmplifyChange project, a Public Service Announcement (PSA) on prevention of child marriage was broadcasted through three local FMs Radio Helambu 89.6 MHz, Radio Sindhu 105.0 MHz and Radio Melamchi 107.2 MHz of Sindhupalchowk district. It was produced by the local radio of the district and broadcasted by BNMT Nepal’s downstream partners: viz. Shree Sindhu Punarjagaran Sangh, Indrawati Community Service Center and Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum. The message was conceptualized by BNMT Nepal and jointly developed with engagement of Civil Society Organizations, and local government. Other local radios have also been broadcasting the PSA in coordination with local media person Mr. Ishwori Prasad Adhikari, who runs a radio program in Radio Helambu and Radio Jugal 98.1 MHz.
