Three Health Facilities Handed Over to the Ministry of Health (MoH)
On 3rd and 4th June 2017, the newly constructed Prefab Type-1 Health Posts in Khairang, Basamadi and Dhiyal VDCs based on government’s standards and guidelines were handed to the Government of Nepal. Handover Programs were celebrated in the VDCs with the active participation of the communities.The Health Posts were formally inaugurated by Senior Public Health Administrator and Chief of Reconstruction, MoH, Mr. Ramesh Adhikari in the presence of distinguished guests and representatives from Ministry of Health (MoH); Regional Health Directorate (RHD); local Municipalities; District Public Health Office (DPHO), Makwanpur; local health facilities and Health Facilities Operation and Management Committees (HFOMC); Americares; BNMT Nepal; and the community people. Mr. Adhikari highly appreciated the communities for their contribution to build the health posts. He expressed his expectation on quality service assurance from the health posts, community people and government line agencies.
The Health Posts were built in close coordination with MoH, Government of Nepal and the project is funded by Americares. Along with the physical infrastructure of the Health Posts, essential medical equipment and furniture was also supported by BNMT Nepal.
The newly constructed Health Posts have resumed delivery of health services. Approximately 27000, people will be directly benefitted from the Health Posts.
