WASH Committee Meeting for construction of community toilets in Kunchowk, Sindhupalchowk
Under Enhancing Community Health in Nepal, to initiate the construction process of community toilets, a one-day meeting was conducted with the WASH committee of Kunchowk VDC on 22 February, 2017. A total of 24 including 4 female and 20 male participated in the meeting.
The overall objective of the meeting was to discuss about the site selection, physical necessities like water and sanitation system, electricity and management of the overall construction process in the VDC. Moreover, observing the high need of community toilets in the VDC, the committee decided to construct two community toilets in Kotdhada -2 and in Tallo gau – 9 in Kunchowk VDC. Therefore, for sustainability of the community toilets in the VDC, Community Toilet Consumer Committee was formed for each of the locations comprising of 7 members and 6 members respectively.
